Aglaonema Plant Features

One thing I love about Aglaonemas is a mainstay of favorite houseplant lists everywhere. And with its unique and lush foliage, easy care, and ability to adapt to almost any home or office space, it’s hard to find a more versatile stunner.

Hoya Plant
Features

Why I think Hoya have been popular house plants for decades and with good reason. I love that they are extremely long-lived, have a classic, deep green, vining foliage and produce fragrant, light pink and red star-shaped flowers. Because of their thick waxy, foliage they are often called wax plants or sometimes porcelain flower referring to the unique texture of the flowers.

Philodendron Plant Features

Philodendron is a classic, and practically no-fail houseplant because it's so easy to grow. Happily, this makes it a pretty common indoor plant to find at your local garden center. The philodendron family is a pretty big one, too -- so you can find a variety of plants that grow in a range of shapes, sizes, and colors.

Arrowhead plant goes by a variety of names, including syngonium and nephthytis, is an excellent houseplant for low light (no matter what you call it!). Popular for more than a hundred years, arrowhead plant has withstood the test of time because it's both attractive and easy to grow.

Monstera Plant Features

Monstera may be the perfect houseplant for you if you're looking to create a big, bold, tropical feel in your home. It features big (2-foot-wide) leaves that look like they have holes or cuts in them, giving rise to two of its other common names: Swiss cheese plant and split-leaf philodendron (while monstera is not a type of philodendron, it is closely related to them).

Scindapsus Plant Features

Scindapsus are a group of are popular houseplants that are closely related to pothos and philodendron. Like their relatives, they can be grown as climbing vines up a totem or trellis. Or, you can treat them as trailing houseplants from hanging baskets.
